For years I planned to bake bread. But the memory of the bread that friend baked in the 60s and70s kept me from it. Do you remember the heavy.bricks of homemade bread that smelled of wheatgerm, and tasted like cardboard? We were assured that it was very good for us,even though it was barely chewable. And the time and measuring invoved! Well friends, my daughter Alexis gave me a book of recepies for rustic breads that are very easy to make. I made real bread! It looks like real bread, and it tastes like real bread, and I am very excited!

Hi Oma! I'm so excited about your blog! You must post a photo of the bread -- or, what is left of it. I look forward to reading and seeing more!
